Seminggu habis! Hahaha rekod ni, dek nak mengejar nak baca buku baru beli dekat BBW Seremban, semangat berkobar-kobar terus habiskan seminggu je. Dasyat... Penangan dek telefon rosak.
Kehidupan seorang DUDA, yang kematian isteri, dengan keluarga yang banyak jugak peelnya dan persekitaran yang sangat-sangat unexpected. And the widower name is Doug. He's so full with love and lust. Memang heartfelt gila la novel ni bila Doug, grieving for his wife's death in airplane crash.
Hailey left her son, Russ, that supposed to stay with his father, which is said to be as her ex-husband, Jim, but Russ always come to Doug whenever he is in trouble. Briefly, the relationship thing is like this :

Doug - Hailey's husband, Russ's stepfather
Russ - Hailey's only son
Jim @ Jimbo - Russ' father, Hailey's ex-husband
Angie - Hailey and Jim's former maid and now Jim's wife
It became complicated as Doug's family came into the picture. When Claire, Doug's twin sister left her husband and stay with Doug, it opened up wide Doug's eyes to get the hell out from his mourn. And their sister, Debbie, is going to marry Mike, Doug's ex-bestfriend. Their father, Dr. Stanley Parker, had stroke and Doug's mother had to pay Rudy to be Dr.Stan's assistant as she cannot managed him alone. Phew!
My tears burst as Doug keep remembering her late wife. Meanwhile, there also Laney and Brooke that came into Doug's life and a few misunderstandings happened. Overall, this novel is sad and dirty, too! Jonathan Tropper is a good writer. The beautiful of this story is its language that he uses to express his hurts of losing his wife. But, there is a man with a gun and why he shot his gun towards the other man? Read them! I've finished in a week because I was so nervous to know what's the end of all the dramas.
